Speaking wholeheartedly I appreciated my decision. I really had superb time there.

You are here and definitely wants to know about the best things to do in Japan. Like me, you are also excited to know more about the city.

Without any further ado, let’s discuss some interesting things about Japan.

Let’s Explore Japan

When I was planning our trip, I was stressed and confused. I did a lot of research so that we would have a comfortable and enjoyable trip to Japan.

We arrived at the land of rising sun and saw the cultural differences which we expected.

Here is the list of Top things to do in Japan

1. Tokyo – Capital of Origin of The Sun

Tokyo

Our trip started in Tokyo which is the main gateway to the country. Tokyo is an amazing city to spend 5-7 days.

As I visited Tokyo in the spring season. I was totally blown away with the cherry blossoms here in Tokyo. I would suggest you to permit yourself to stay in Tokyo for at least 4-5 days.

We had our stay in Hotel Niwa Tokyo which was a 4-star hotel. The location of our hotel was perfect and I would highly recommend it. There is so much to see and do in the city.

On the first day, I woke up at 6 am and got ready as we planned to visit Mount Fuji. After having breakfast at our hotel, we departed to reach Mount Fuji.

We took a bus from Shinjuku station. I saw Mount Fuji on social media and books several times before.

On our way to the ultimate destination, we stopped at Gotemba Peace Park aka Heiwa Park at the foothill of Mount Fuji. The cherry blossoms there in the park were so delightful and refreshing.

Mount Fuji is an active volcano at the highest peak of Japan. This is the famous volcano around the world. Many Japanese and even tourists make their climb to Mt. Fuji. A small village situated on the lake Ashi offers great views to Mt. Fuji.

Note: You can climb Mount Fuji only between July and mid- September.

We had our lunch at a restaurant nearby Gora station. It turned out to be a great option. We enjoyed a tempting meal there. After that, we returned to our hotel via a local train.

It was a long ride but it was fun watching nature outside the window of the train.

Moreover, the internet helped me in killing time.

2. Matsumoto Castle – The Crow’s Castle

Matsumoto Castle

After spending two nights in Tokyo, (I would recommend you to stay 2-3 days more to give yourself more time to see and do different things) we planned to go to Takayama.

On our way, we stopped for Matsumoto Castle which is Japan’s most famous castle. Due to the fact that it has black exteriors, it is also known as crow’s castle. The castle is completely built of woods.

Then we head to Takayama, a beautiful small city known as the gateway to hida region. I would advise you to spend a couple of days here so that you must have sufficient time to explore this beautiful city.

We tried Japanese food here and trust me, and it was beyond my expectations. They served hot piping meals at not so costly prices.

Try different ice creams flavors in Takayama. The city is famous for ice creams flavors. Don’t be scared to try them all.

So these were the amazing places to visit to Japan. We really had a quality time there.

How to Reach Japan – Flights to Japan

Many airlines like delta, allegiant, frontier, etc are offering cheap flights to Japan along with world class services.

So what are you waiting for, vacations are going on, plan a trip to Japan with your family and friends. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed by visiting Japan.

Some airlines have come up with online reservations. This includes flight ticket bookings while staying at home.

You are not required to stand in long rows at the airport for long hours. Save your time and get your flight tickets booked to Japan at any time and anywhere in the world.

Feel free to ring up them and make your vacation memorable.

Bottom Note

Japanese is the main language spoken by the people in Japan. Since English has been taught in the schools. Some people can communicate perfectly with the outsiders. But in small towns people can’t understand English very well.

So I would suggest you to take a mobile translator along with you so that you can communicate properly with some locals and shopkeepers.

Plan your visit to Japan at the earliest and don’t forget to share your experiences with me. I would love to hear your stories.
